Christmas card design for Crystal
Crystal has been such a loyal client! This time, she placed an order for a custom Christmas card design, using one of their fall anniversary session photos. She is totally in love with glitter and opted for a simple design of glitter-fied text over a single photo. Here's her final chosen design, thanks Crystal!
Christmas card design for Courtney and { REAL THING } program design
I had the pleasure of working with Courtney on her wedding stationery a few months back. You might remember, the gold script invite and program design? Beautiful! She contacted me last week to design a custom Christmas card to send out to their friends and family, their first as a married couple! They opted to used a wedding photo, vertical orientation, and fell in love with a simple script overlay double-sided design. Christmas Card for Crystal
Crystal ordered a Christmas card to send out during the Holidays, using one of their engagement photos. She wanted it bright and bold, and fell in love with a classic design in red and green. They are ordering the cards from Vistaprint, and wanted an inside message to match. Here's the final design, thanks again Crystal!
MERRY CHRISTMAS | blessings
Christmas, 2011. I can't believe it's already Christmas! My first inkling is to reflect on this past year, and go through all the emotions that represent the last 12 months of time. It's SLOWLY getting easier (inch by inch) to realize that my mom really is gone from this world, that my kids will never know her in this life, and that I can't just call her up and chat on any given day.
However, instead of reliving those painful feelings, this year, I choose to reflect and count my blessings. Here's how our Christmas's go: we fly up to WA to visit Brian's family; we finish our shopping, and we head up to their cabin in the Cascades. We sit and relax, enjoy hot drinks, go for evening walks in the crisp mountain air, bake, cook AMAZING food, and the whole world slows down for a bit.
On Christmas Eve, their family tradition is to make lasagna. My family tradition is to make Russian Spaghetti. So this year, we are doing Russian Spaghetti tonight, in honor of my mom's family traditions. After dinner, we get crafty and make stocking covers! The family got to the point that they would fill each person's stocking SO full that the contents spilled out. So to hide the gifts, they started taking paper sacks and decorating them to cover the stocking. Tomorrow, we will wake up and my father-in-law will make Christmas Drinks (a spiked orange Julius type thing), we sit around and chat, waiting for the rest of the family to come. We'll open gifts and laugh and have a wonderful time! There are so many little things that mean "christmas" to me, so many little blessings and traditions. Here are a few of my favorite things!

Holiday ornament photo card for Veronica
Veronica contacted me to order a Christmas card, in a super cute style to be round like an ornament, using their family photo. She wanted a dark taupe used, along with ice blue, and snowflakes. The final design was 5x5 to fit 2 per page. Thanks Veronica!

Juliana ordered their holiday cards, in combination with their save-the-dates; she desired a photo card design, with a hint of one of their wedding colors, of purple, raspberry, and gray. Here's the final design. Thanks Juliana!

Jam jar tags for Jessie
I just adore Jessie and her ideas and designs! She had ordered jam tags for their wedding favors a while back, and the jars were such a hit at their wedding that she's making them for Christmas as well! She ordered another set of jar tags, but with a Christmas theme this time. Instead of "SPREAD THE LOVE", she wanted "SPREAD SOME HOLIDAY CHEER" - too cute! Here's her tag design, thanks again Jessie!
